Kingston's beloved brass band, Brass over Tea Kettle, conjured up a memorable Halloween night, leading the annual Skeleton Park Halloween parade in style. With a playful twist, the band “stepped” out of their usual rhythm and commanded the parade route, delighting the masses of costumed creatures who braved the misty evening.

Joining the brass crew for the night of frights were Spencer Evans on clarinet and Sylvain Gagnon on sousaphone, each adding their own enchanting notes to the band’s signature sound. Together, they bewitched the crowd with a series of spine-chilling, toe-tapping mashups that kept the goblins and ghouls dancing along.

Skeleton Park itself became a lively realm of the supernatural, with everything from witches and werewolves to dancing skeletons grooving to the music. Though the air was thick with excitement, Mother Nature had a mischievous trick of her own in store: a sudden rainfall. Brass over Tea Kettle played on valiantly until the drum kit could take no more and the spooky tunes were temporarily washed away.

But the night wasn't over! Following some determined trick-or-treaters, the band made their way to a spooktacular pop-up porch party hosted by none other than local drag queen and gardener extraordinaire Tyffanie Morgan. Under the glowing, jack-o'-lantern-lit porch, Brass over Tea Kettle gave an encore of festive melodies, bringing laughter and delight to ghoulish passerby's gathered for the ultimate Halloween bash.

Despite the rain’s unwelcome interference, the evening was filled with high-energy enchantment, proving once again that Brass over Tea Kettle can stir up magic, even on the stormiest of nights.
