Brass over Tea Kettle hit the YGK Craft Beerfest Main Stage with with a powerhouse set this past Saturday. The sun was out, the beer was cold, crafty and Canadian and the music was brassy. 

Hayley Miller proved she was indeed “Hot Stuff” while debuting a multilingual version of “Cruel Angel’s Thesis,” leaving festival-goers wondering whether they had attended a beef festival, an anime convention, or a particularly musical fever dream.

T-shirts were launched from the stage into the eager arms of music lovers, creating scenes that can only be described as part brass band, part sporting event, and part airborne cotton redistribution program. We think Kingston is fashionably cooler as a result.

The band will be taking a short break for July, but we'll be back for a bunch of summery shows in August, so check the website if you're feeling like getting a little brassy!
